In a recently-released Foot Locker ad, Mike Tyson arrives at Evander Holyfield's home and returns the latter's ear.
Also featured in the colorful ad are North Korea-bound Dennis Rodman and the always-comebacking Brett Favre.

On June 28, 1997,  in the final minute of the Round 3 of Holyfield vs Tyson II, Tyson bit a chunk out of Holyfield's right ear while the fighters were engaged in a clinch, spitting it out afterwards.

Referee Mills Lane stopped the action and deducted two points from Tyson, who told Lane that the damage to Holyfield's ear was caused by a punch.

"B***s***!," Lane replied.

When the action resumed, an out-of-control Tyson bit Holyfield's left ear this time.

At the round's conclusion, Tyson was disqualified and Holyfield had successfully retained the WBA heavyweight title.

Tyson, in a post-fight interview, insisted that he was intentionally headbutted by Holyfield and the bites were in retaliation. However, two days later in a televised statement, Tyson apologized. "I just snapped," he said. "I couldn't tell you why I acted exactly as I did."

At the time, Holyfield vs Tyson II was the highest grossing fight in history, breaking records in overall revenue, live gate and PPV earnings as well as PPV sales. It was seen in 97 foreign countries and foreign sales totaled $21,240,000, which included sponsorships.
