Kim Phuong Taylor: Arrested for casting fraudulent votes for GOP candidate, husband

By Lee Cleveland - January 13, 2023

Ut oh!

Per a Business Insider piece, Kim Phuong Taylor has been arrested for voter fraud.

According to prosecutors, Mrs. Taylor cast fraudulent votes for her husband, Jeremy Taylor, in the latter’s unsuccessful bid for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2020 and his successful candidacy for Woodbury County Supervisor.

The DOJ insists that Kim Taylor “submitted or caused others to submit dozens of voter registrations, absentee ballot request forms, and absentee ballots containing false information,” including by signing affirmations on absentee ballots and voter registrations on behalf of the named voters without their permission.

In all, Phuong Taylor has been charged with 26 counts of providing false information and voting, 23 counts of fraudulent voting, and three counts of fraudulent registration.

Election deniers would like you to believe voter fraud isn’t taken seriously by authorities, but election tampering is no joke. There is a five-year maximum sentence for “each” count in this particular case. (There are 20 over counts pending)

The strong penalties for such offenses might explain we see so little voter fraud.

Her husband served a single term on the Iowa House of Representatives from 2011 to 2013, was a member of the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors between 2014 and 2020, and currently serves as the board’s vice chairperson.

While Republicans are the primary accusers of voter fraud, they also seem to be its biggest offenders.
