Klitschko vs Jennings tickets: Red hot in cold NYC?

Written by
Will Wladimir Klitschko (63-3, 53KOs) be a rock star in America after all?

Boxing's heavyweight champion will face undefeated Bryant Jennings (19-0, 10 KO) of Philadelphia at Madison Square Garden on April 25 and the bout will be broadcast of HBO.

And surprisingly, 5,000 tickets were sold in the first hour.

"We expect a sold-out arena for this fight," stated Tom Loeffler, managing director for K2 Promotions.

Wladimir Klitschko, who is starting to be compared to heavyweight greats of the past, will look to attempt make his 11th defense of his lineal title and 18th consecutive defense as a fighter with a portion of the heavyweight title.

Perhaps the comebacking former champion Shannon Briggs was wrong?

Earlier this month the 43 year old slugger, who had been campaigning very hard to fight Wlad, hinted Klitschko vs Jennings would flop.

"The world wants to see me and this man [Klitschko] fight," stated the former belt-holder.

"I don't know why he's fighting Jennings. No one knows Jennings. This is a fight no one wants, that no one cares about. This is about money and glory, let's'make it happen in New York City."

Klitschko vs Jennings tickets are selling like hotcakes, thus far.
