Floyd Mayeather Jr to Manny Pacquiao: "You're not a boss. On the chess board, you're a pawn"

In a recent interview on "Shade 45 Radio", Floyd "Money" Mayweather gave a brief update on how challenging negotiations were with probable May 2nd opponent Manny Pacquiao.
"We're trying, but it's been extremely difficult dealing with Top Rank," admitted the highest paid athlete in the world.

"And I don't want to sit here and point the finger at Pacquiao and say that it's him."

While the pound for pound king genuinely believes the eight division world champion isn't the reason for the difficult dialogue between both camps, Floyd Jr. does hold Manny's promoter responsible for the demanding talks.

"Pacquiao said that he agreed to everything. But what did he agree to," rhetorically asked the 37 year old fighter. "You have no say so. You have a boss."

"You don't have no say so. You have a boss that's called Top Rank Promotions. It's not called Pacquiao Promotions. With my company, it's called Mayweather Promotions."

Although Manny Pacquiao technically has the final say, regarding each and every one of his potential endeavors, the always outspoken, Vegas based fighter is convinced the Filipino Congressman is a mere "puppet" at the end of his promoter's string.

"It's not Pacquiao, it's his promoter," insisted Floyd Mayweather Jr. "A lot of times when Pacquiao says 'I agreed'...you don't have nothing to do with this. You're not a boss."

"On a chess board, you're a pawn."

Although the ongoing negotiations have admittedly been challenging for all parties involved, "Money" May remains optimistic that he will be facing Manny Pacquiao on May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"We have been going back and forth, communicating with their team. We're going to make it happen though."
