Unbeaten, Al Haymon-managed Stephan Shaw (11-0, 8 KO) returns to the ring Thursday, August 29 to face Willie Jake, Jr (8-2-1) at the lively Foxwoods Resort, Mashantucket.

Shaw vs Jake will be a scheduled-8 round affair and will be the featured bout on DiBella Entertainment‘s Broadway Boxing series which will be live streamed exclusively on UFC FIGHT PASS®.

Hailing from St. Louis, MO, the 6'4"/193cm Shaw turned pro in 2013 after a distinguished amateur career.

Stephan Shaw is an unbeaten heavyweight prospect with a lot of potential," stated famed promoter and President of DiBella Entertainment, Lou DiBella.

"He has heavy hands and is coming off of a very impressive knockout in his last fight."

BoxRec Rankings
US; World

Stephan Shaw - 36/358; 134 1,296
Willie Jake, Jr - 29/358; 115/1,296

But before the 26 year old Shaw can think about another rising heavyweight, he must dispense with the task at-hand, Willie Jake, Jr.

Prior to his most recent bout (Jan 2019), the 36 year old Jake had won 6 straight. There's no doubt he's looking to regain his stature among Midwestern heavyweights following his loss 7 months ago

From Indianapolis, Jake is an athletic specimen who once shined as a Pasadena City College in California.

Jake had 70 fights as an amateur and is trained by his father, Willie Sr., a former cruiserweight boxer during the nineties.

And interestingly, Jake, despite his 2 losses, is rated slightly higher than his unbeaten foe by BoxRec, in the US and internationally.

This fight's winner can take one more step to becoming recognized as the baddest heavyweight in the Midwest.
