The wait is almost over.

For five long years, fans of Floyd "Money" Mayweather have been virtually sparring Manny Pacquiao's legion of supporters on various websites and chat rooms across the world wide web, debating ad nauseam which future Hall of Famer would eventually reign supreme in a proposed head to head match-up.

According to Lance Pugmire of the "LA Times", both parties have already agreed to stage the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, and have also agreed on a drug testing program before and after the event.

While the official date of the super fight remains unresolved, it's believed the bout is currently being negotiated for a May or June 2015 fight date.

And although both parties have yet to determined the purse split, the two networks involved, HBO and Showtime, are meticulously negotiating details of broadcasting the event and dividing proceeds.

Judging by the extremely promising update concerning the ongoing Mayweather vs Pacquiao negotiations, it's safe to assume that all parties involved are finally on the same page in finalizing a fight deal that would potentially be the most lucrative in boxing's long and storied history.

Despite insisting on complete anonymity, due to the delicate nature of the negotiation process, the camp insider was able to inform the "LA Times" that a Mayweather/Pacquiao fight deal could be reached and announced within the next seven to ten days.

FightSaga.com will release more information concerning the ongoing Mayweather/Pacquiao negotiations as the process matures.
