Golovkin vs Brook undercard: Will it feature GGG's eventual conqueror?

The entire boxing world seems to fixated on tonight's Sky Sports main event from the sold-out O2 Arena in London, England, Middleweight kingpin Gennady Golovkin (35-0, 32 KOs) vs. IBF Welterweight champion Kell Brook (36-0, 28 KOs).

Although many are viewing tonight's challenger from Sheffield, England, as a live underdog, most are predicting an inevitable and brutal, mid-round stoppage victory for GGG.

As a result, one of the biggest questions circulating throughout the forums and discussion pages of the boxing social network is, "can anyone from 154-168 pounds currently defeat pound for pound puncher Gennady Golovkin?"

While some believe lineal Middleweight champ Canelo Alvarez or "Regular" WBA title holder Daniel Jacobs could be the most likely candidates to get the next opportunity opposite Triple G, UK fight fans are certain they have a special, undefeated Super Middleweight contender who could hand Golovkin his first loss as a professional.

So, does tonight's fight card feature anyone interesting?

Meet current WBC Silver Super MIddleweight titlist and number 1 contender Callum Smith (20-0, 15 KOs) who is fighting tonight on the Golovkin vs Brook undercard.

If the 26 year old 168 pound fighter looks familiar, it's because he's a proud member of the renowned Smith fighting family, and brother to current WBO Junior Middleweight champion Liam Smith, who defends his title against Canelo Alvarez next Saturday night in Arlington, Texas, USA.

This red-hot prospect from Liverpool, Merseyside, England, is being heralded as possibly the most promising of the talented Smith clan.

Currently ranked number 4 in the world, and listed as the number 1 contender in the WBC's ranking system, Callum appears to be the total package in the ring. Not only is "Mundo" Smith physically intimidating, standing 6'3" tall in the center of the ring, but he also possesses a rare, throw-back mentality in the squared circle, relentlessly pursing his opposition and fearlessly attacking his victims in the pocket with hard, two-fisted combinations to the body and head.

What makes Callum Smith so ostensibly bold in the squared circle?

The talented puncher appears to have a granite chin, an iron resolve, and two sledgehammers in both gloves.

Callum also possesses the ability to box his opponents from mid to long range with technical proficiency if he has to, but prefers to bang in the pocket with short, compact shots on the inside.

Most ringside observers and British fight fans believe he is a complete fighter and a future world champion.

Could Callum Smith be "the one" to finally hand Gennady Golovkin his first loss as a professional and become one of boxing's biggest superstars?
