Floyd Mayweather Sr: “To all Pacquiao fans: Manny is going to get his *** kicked"

The boxing world is currently buzzing about a potential Manny Pacquiao/Floyd Mayweather Jr. match-up finally materializing in 2015 since Floyd Sr. more than just hinted about the prospective super fight during a series of recent interviews with various media sources in and around the Vegas area.

“Well, I’m pretty sure that the fight (Pacquiao vs. Mayweather) will take place,” Mayweather Sr. stated to “Dontae’s Boxing Nation” earlier this week.

“That’s the biggest fight we got. To tell you the truth, I guess that’s why the fight hasn’t happened yet.”

“It will be the biggest fight whenever it takes place.  Whether Floyd loses or Pacquiao loses, it will be the biggest fight ever.”

Could the prolific fight trainer’s projection be accurate?

For about half of a decade, fight fans have relentlessly clamored for the mega fight only to be disappointed by both first ballot Hall of Famers up to this point. In the minds of most boxing pundits and ringside experts, projected proceeds generated by an eventual Pacquiao/Mayweather event would eclipse every other major bout in the sport’s history…including De La Hoya/Mayweather and Canelo/Mayweather, which currently stand as the two largest money making events ever.

Although the pound for pound king’s father has all but guaranteed an inevitable meeting between to two boxing goliaths, Floyd Jr. has been recorded recently by various media outlets discussing a possible May 2015 outing with former WBA/IBF Junior Welterweight Champion Amir Khan.

“Khan’s a good fighter and he has quick hands,“ stated Floyd Mayweather Jr. while touring Eastern Europe.  “But I am a far more intelligent fighter than him, and I could already tell you how I would beat him. My dad wants the fight, and I want to put him on his backside, so hopefully we can make it happen.”

“I have always said that nobody has any right just to get a fight with me. I am nobody's payday, I am nobody's meal ticket. I take fights that I believe will test me, and will put on a good show for the fans.”

While Floyd Sr. has indeed speculated on the idea of facing the Briton next year as well, the renowned boxing coach insists that his son is “saving the best for last”.

“Tell you right now, he (Floyd Mayweather Jr.) never told me the fight's gonna happen, but the fight's gonna happen,” Mayweather Sr. stated in a recent interview with FightHype.com. “You mark my words, and we'll see.”

The prolific fight trainer also guaranteed a victory for his son, Floyd Mayweather Jr.

“And I’m going to tell the people right now, anyone who wants to know it…all of the Pacquiao fans, that Manny is going to get his a$$ kicked, whooped, stomped, and KO’d!”
