Only in boxing.

Remember Manual Charr (31-4, 17 KO)?

A heavyweight on the move 10 years ago, Charr has faced Danny Williams, Kevin Johnson, Alexander Povetkin, Johann Duhaupas, Michael Grant, Mairis Briedis and Aleksandr Ustinov.

Of course, he’s probably most known for being the final opponent for former WBA Heavyweight Champion Vitaly Klitschko.

He wants to be called Mahmoud these days and on May 15th he’s returning to the ring for the first time in four years as the WBA heavyweight champion in recess.

As what?

The 36-year-old Mahmoud Charr will face undefeated but unranked 37-year-old Christopher Lovejoy (19-0, 19 KOs), an American who has never fought outside of Tijuana, BCN, Mexico.

Only in boxing.

“I’m a really big guy with an (NFL) background," Lovejoy told Sky Sports.

"I can bench and squat 400lbs, I can dunk a basketball, and I can run fast. I’m very powerful. “I’m up there with the best. In sparring, whenever I touch someone, it changes the whole dynamic. As soon as I touch someone, they fall. “Ask anyone who spars with me, and they will say that I hit like a mule. The power comes naturally,” he added.
