Fury was born and raised in Wythenshawe, Manchester and currently resides in Morecambe, Lancashire.
Fury is from a family of boxers, which includes father "Gypsy" John Fury, brother Young Fury, uncles Hugh Fury and Peter Fury, and cousins Phill Fury and Hughie Fury. Tyson is also related to Andy Lee, Hosea Burton and Zac Burton.
Fury is named after fight legend Mike Tyson.
He met his wife Paris when she was 15 years old. Like Fury, Paris is a practicing Catholic and raised in a gypsy family. They waited a year until getting together and married in 2009. The couple have since had five children together.
Fury is currently an Ambassador for the former British world champion Frank Bruno's Mental health charity, The Frank Bruno Foundation

Tyson Fury is exceptionally spry for a 6'9" heavyweight and boasts good footwork and excellent upper body movement
He uses his telephone pool jab to not only score, but to keep opponents at bay. And while it lacks the speed of an Ali jab and the power of a Liston jab, it's quick, it stings and it causes problems for foes.
Fury's size, skills, athleticism and befuddling ring tactics present a quandary for opponents. At times, Wladimir Klitschko and Deontay Wilder appeared puzzled in their bouts with the big Fury. It was as if they weren't quite sure what to do next at times.
Like the welterweight version of Floyd Mayweather, Fury seems to sacrifice power for speed but can generate decent power when he sits on his shots. It's easy to call Floyd and Fury feather-fisted until you're in the ring with them, taste their power and subsequently realize walking them down will be no easy task. You're likely to get buzzed from incoming shots before stepping back to re-think your gameplan.
