Jose Aldo

Tonight, on home soil, UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo is set to defend his title in his rematch with Chad Mendes. Aldo knocked out Mendes in their previous bout in 2012.

Only 2 of Aldo's last 6 fights have come via stoppage but the No. 2 ranked MMA pound-for-pound fighter continues to dominate with frequency.

Holly Holm

Next month, boxing sensation and former two-time RING Magazine Women's Fighter of the Year Holly Holm makes her much-anticipated UFC debut against Raquel Pennington. One of the most decorated female boxers ever, Holm, despite being the heavy favorite in her UFC debut, has a measured approach on her path to possible greatness.

“I know I have a lot to learn, so I do want to have a couple fights before fighting Ronda [Rousey],” Holm told USA Today in July.

“But if you told me that’s what I had to do right now, I’d say fine, let’s grind it out and get to work. I just feel like there are some more things I want to learn first.”

Will Holm be the fighter who pushes Ronda Rousey to the limit? Will the humble Holm dethrone the 'Rowdy' one? To have any shot at facing Rousey anytime soon, Holm must first defeat Pennington. No easy task.

Also, MMA/UFC legend Shogun Rua returns against Jimi Manuwa, bad boy Nate Diaz will be back in the Octagon to face Rafel dos Anjos and the comebacking star Tito Ortiz will go head to head with Stephan Bonnar at Bellator 131.

And if you like the big boys, November and December offer solid UFC heavyweight action. Mark Hunt and Fabrecio Werdum vie for the Interim Heavyweight title, Travis Browne faces Brendan Schaub, former champ Junior Dos Santos attempts to repel the surging Stipe Miocic and the colorful, enigmatic Alistair Overeem will look to get back in title contention when he faces 6'11" Stefan Struve.

Speaking of heavyweights, former WWE pro wrestler Bobby Lashley needed just 1:31 to topple undefeated British heavyweight Karl Etherington (formerly 9-0) last night at Bellator 130. With the impressive win, the hulking Lashley improved his MMA record to 12-2.

Brock Lesnar back in 2015?

Here we go again... The rumors have returned.

Lesnar's WWE contract expires in March after Wrestlemania and some believe there "may" be a chance the former champ will reuturn to UFC in 2015.

“I have a great relationship with Brock, we talk all the time,” UFC President Dana White told Fox Sports.

“I don’t know, we’ll see. If he wants to fight, he knows my number. It’s pretty amazing what he did and accomplished here while having diverticulitis. It would be interesting to see a 100 percent healthy Brock Lesnar compete.”
